The 1756-TBSH provides a flexible linkage between 1756 I/O modules and plant wiring. It is an I/O module accessory that needs to be ordered separately from the module. This 20-pin spring-clamp RTB ships with a standard housing. It is part of the Bulletin 1756 Removable Terminal Block series that are plugged into the front of ControlLogix I/O modules. It is compatible with selected 1756 Series of AC Digital Inputs, AC Digital Outputs, Analog Inputs, Analog RTDs and Thermocouples, Analog Outputs, and Specialty I/O Modules.
The 1756-TBSH Removable Terminal Block comes with a standard housing and this combination allows a wire capacity of up to 336 sq. mm. It is ideal for 0.33-2.1 mm2 (22-14 AWG) solid or stranded copper wires rated at 90 °C (194 °F) or greater with a maximum insulation of 1.2 mm (3/64 inches). The standard-depth housing measures 147.91mm (5.823 inches) from the module’s front to the back of the chassis. Wiring multiple conductors on any single terminal is not advised.
The 1756-TBSH is designed to support RIUP –Removal and Insertion Under Power. However, extreme caution should be used when working with live electricity which can be dangerous to the installer as well as to the system. Possible dangers include injuries, loss of process control, and unintended machine motion. Removing power before installation is recommended
