The 1771-P5 PLC 5 Power Supply Module by is a power supply module fitted in a double 1771 I/O chassis with an input rating of 20.5-30V DC and supplies an output voltage of 5.06V DC. It has an operational voltage range of 20.5-30V DC with an input power of 57W and it supplies an output current up to 8A at 5.01V DC (-+3.8%) output voltage. The 1771-P5 provides circuit isolation tested at 1500V AC (RMS) or 2160V DC for 1 second between input line to chassis ground and provide circuit protection through the 5A, 32V Normal blow fuse (Bussman MTH5). The module has an adjustable power loss delay time of 13.6ms (3.6ms) or 60ms between input power loss-to-processor disable.
Most power supply modules can be connected in parallel, but the 1771-P5, can only be connected in parallel with another 1771-P5 module using the 1771-CT parallel connection cable, and the module is keyed to the backplane by connection of the keying band (shipped with the module) between pins 12 and 14, 22 and 24. Its working temperature ranges between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius without de-rating around a relative humidity range of 5-95% without condensation and is kept at a temperature range between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. The 1771-P5 is UL and CSA/H-certified. The module weighs approximately 1.18Kg (2.6lb).
