Both pieces of equipment use the RSLogix 5000 software version 13.0 or later that provides simple programming, reduces the learning curve between different controller models, and provides integrated sequential and motion control. The 20D-DL2-CKE1 Phase II control upgrade kit consists of a series of parts that help connect these 2 pieces of equipment. It ships ready for installation with the necessary tools that include a wrench for M5 hex nuts, a Phillips screwdriver, and a standard screwdriver.

It is recommended to have the 20D-DL2-CKE1 Phase II control upgrade kit installed by a technician who is familiar with this kind of installation. The kit is extremely sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Before attempting to install the kit, the power needs to be removed completely from the host drive and all the covers need to be removed. The original cassette needs to be removed and then, this kit needs to be added in its place.
