The WOODWARD 5437-2131 is a Overspeed Protection Device for steam, gas, and hydro turbines. Part of the ProTech-GII series, it features a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) 2-out-of-3 (2oO3) voting, ensuring maximum safety, 12ms rapid response, and zero single-point failures for high-value rotating machinery.

The WOODWARD 5437-2131 provides analog feedback through its 4–20 mA output, enabling seamless integration with plant control and monitoring systems such as DCS and SCADA platforms.The device also supports Modbus RTU communication over RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 interfaces, offering flexible connectivity options for industrial automation networks.
