The 57C330 is an AutoMax Remote I/O Head. Its main function is to be an interface between the remote I/O network and several types of systems including a thumbwheel switch module, LED modules, and digital or analog rails. The head has the ability to reset if it detects an error from losing communication to any of the drives.

The 57C330 is 50/60 HZ, it has an input power of 120/240VAC and a maximum load of .5/.25 amps. It has a maximum power dissipation of 50 watts. It requires a Buss 2 amp, 250V, AGC fuse. It should be operated in temperatures between 0-60 degrees Celsius.

The 57C330 has a bank of LED indicator lights labeled RUN, POWER, CPU READY, FAULT MSB, FAULT LSB, and RAIL FAULT on its front faceplate. It has four I/O communication ports labeled 0, 1, 2, and 3. It has an RS-232 connector port. It also has a terminal strip used to connect an interfacing unit. There is also a port for a coaxial cable. There are air vents on both sides of the 57C330 to promote airflow to all of its internal circuitry. There is a label on the left side of the device which has most of the important technical specifications on it.
