Description

The General Electric PP45563 T8842 is a Trusted® Versatile Field Termination Assembly (VFTA) used within ICS Triplex Trusted TMR safety systems. The assembly provides the field connection interface between external devices and Trusted input/output modules, including the T8448 TMR Zone Interface Module and T8449 TMR Valve Monitor Module. Each VFTA includes 40 configurable channels, allowing connection of field devices with analog or digital signals as well as output devices requiring up to 28 Vdc switching signals. The T8842 supports standard 2-wire and 3-wire field device connections and can be mounted on a standard DIN rail for cabinet installation. Channel configuration is completed through plug-in fuses and built-in resistors, with field power distributed across five groups of eight channels. Individual channel protection is provided through fused field power supply connections. The module operates with an 18 Vdc to 28 Vdc field supply range and supports a maximum current of 2.52 A per power group. Installed as part of a Trusted TMR control architecture, the PP45563 T8842 handles field wiring termination and signal distribution between process equipment and safety control modules.
