The MVI69L-MBS module is a ProSoft Modbus serial lite communication module classified under the / Automation CompactLogix series. The MVI69L-MBS module features the ProSoft configuration builder software and it comes with an input-output size 240/240-16 bit integers. The unit’s Baud rate is 110 to 115 Kbaud and it comes with a current load rating of 450 mA maximum at 5 Volts DC. Designed for smaller applications, the unit delivers seamless communication between the application and the Modbus serial device. To ensure a reduced commissioning time, the unit comes with the add-on profile and the add-on instruction devices. The MVI69L-MBS module is also a single serial port with the ability to support master and slave connectivity. The MVI69L-MBS module configuration settings are backed up in a CompactLogix Project, with the module acting as a co-processor for reduced impact to the PLC Scan Time.
To allow for decisions on the node health, the MVI69L-MBS module delivers diagnostic data that is available in the processor controller tags. The unit’s add-on profile ensures an improved integration in the CompactLogix systems. The MVI69L-MBS module features 1 or 2 stop bits and the data size is 7 or 8 bits. The parity is defined as None, Even, or Odd while it comes with an RTS timing delay of 0 to 65535 milliseconds. The MVI69L-MBS module features the Modbus Master unit that actively issues the Modbus commands to the other nodes on the Modbus network. The status data is displayed on an individual command basis with the slave status list maintained on an active Modbus Master port. The MVI69L-MBS module features an ambient operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius while the ambient storage temperature range is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The debug Port features the 10/100 EtherNet Port.
