The 1734-OB8E is a POINT I/O module which features Eight (8) electronically, protected discrete input channels. This module is manufactured by that is primarily used for implementing distributed I/O architecture.
The 1734 POINT I/O product bulletin are compact, low-density I/O modules with compact and space saving design. These are cost-effective modules that requires minimum panel space and supports standard DIN rail mounting. Specifically, the 1734-OB8E is compatible with all POINT I/O communication adapters and controller platforms, specifically, the Logix product family, whether CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers. Output channels of the 1734-OB8E is energized via the control command sent by the master controller over a specific industrial protocol.
The 1734-OB8E discrete input channels comes with a single group of discrete output channels. It has a sourcing output range of 10-28.8 VDC with output current rating of 1.0 A per output, and 2.0 A per module. It has a Surge current rating of 2 A for 10 ms, repeatable every 3 s. It has 8 yellow – output status; 8 red – output fault indicators and 2 green/red – module/network status indicators. Appropriate terminal bases for use with this module are 1734-TB or 1734-TBS wiring base assembly.
