This 1440-VSE02-01RA vibration monitor comes equipped with special firmware and circuitry which allows the module to measure both conventional spikes, as well as g’s Spike Energy (gSE). The g’s Spike Energy is a signal processing technique developed by Entek, and it provides an accurate measure of the energy that is generated by mechanical or transient impacts. The gSE measurement allows for the early detection of surface errors in metal-to-metal contacts, rolling-element bearings, inadequate bearing lubrication, as well as process-related problems like dry-running, flow change, internal re-circulation, and cavitation.
