This solid state motor controller supports starting modes such as Soft Start with Selectable Kickstart, Current Limit Start, Full Voltage Start. The 150-A97NBD has integrated diagnostic and status indicating LEDs, Digital adjustment buttons, Energy saver capability and configurable auxiliary contacts.

Soft start reduces stress due to surges of Torque. It allows smooth accelerations without the need to define acceleration steps. Softstart particularly affects drive couplings, belts and gears. Selectable kickstart allows additional torque pulse that is best applied to defeat sticky actuators that is commonly encountered in high-friction loads. Current limit start limits inrush current that is known to damage motors due to a short surge of high current that rapidly goes down.

Full Voltage start allows the controller to act as an ordinary contactor where normal starting is implemented. Energy saver feature is especially designed for motors that is lightly or unloaded for a significant time duration. This feature does not require additional wiring.
