The 1747-AIC is a SLC 500 Isolated Link Coupler. This Isolated Link Coupler is a panel mounted device that is compatible for use with an SLC Fixed and modular style hardware. It has communication ports to allow a connected SLC controller to connect to a programming workstation and to a DH485 network.
The 1747-AIC is an isolated link coupler. The panel-mountable coupler conforms to the NEMA standard ICS 2-230, IEC1000-4-2, EN50081-2 Class A, and the IEC1000-4-3 regulations and standards. In addition, this device is CSA certified. The dimensions of the coupler are 1.5 x 6.8 x 6.5 inches with current load of this isolated link coupler is 0.085 Amps at 24 Volts DC. Moreover, the 1747-AIC offers an advanced interface converter with a shielded twisted-pair communication interface. This interface helps with communication between several network devices in the SLC 500 family such as the SLC 5/02, SLC 5/01, and the SLC 5/03 processors and the DH-485 link.
