The 1770-TA industrial terminal is manufactured by and it is a portable and versatile programming terminal. It has control modules featuring power ON or power OFF switching capabilities, and they are located at the front side. The device includes a brightness feature.
The 1770-TA and all the other models of the industrial terminal systems come with various types of hardware components. To begin with, the module features a cathode ray tube display screen that can display 80 characters on 24 lines. It also comes with the control modules which feature the power on or power off switch that is located on the front side of the module. When the power is on, the 1770-TA CRT terminal will engage a mechanical interlock that acts as a guard against the attachment or the removal of the keyboard. Another control feature is the brightness feature that is normally located at the back of the terminal monitoring screen. This is used to control the screens intensity. The volume terminal is also included on the back of the display and it is used for controlling the audio levels of the beep tone that is produced whenever a valid key on the terminal is pressed.
