The 1771-NIS input module is a PLC 5 series sinking/sourcing input module that can support loop power. It can support the levels of loop power that are necessary for powering 2-wire transmitters that are connected to its inputs. The 1771-NIS sinking/sourcing input module is equipped with 8 inputs that are all current inputs. The inputs are rated for 4 to 20 milliamps of current and the backplane current rating of the module is 2.9 Amps. The 1771-NIS sinking/sourcing input module can operate in a temperature range from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius with up to 95% relative humidity without condensation The 1771-NIS is an I/O module which belongs to the 1771-N high resolution I/O module series. It is equipped with 8 current input channels rated for 4-20mA. The 1771-NIS module provides power for the input circuit loops. The current drawn by the 1771-NIS from the I/O chassis backplane is 2.4A and the total power dissipated is 12W. The 1771-NIS interfaces with PLC-5/250, PLC-3 and PLC-5 controllers.
