The / Automation 1791-0B16 module is an I/O module from the 1791 Block I/O series. It comes with 16 output channels. The 1791-0B16 block I/O module can be mounted horizontally or vertically, but it is recommended to mount it vertically. If it is the last block I/O module that is installed in a sequence, it needs to be installed with a termination resistor. The 1791-0B16 block I/O module does not need external power fusing because it is protected by built-in internal fusing.
The 1791-0B16 is a 1791 Discrete DC Block I/O Module. It is a remote I/O device containing all necessary elements like a programmable controller interface, power supply, input/output connections, and a signal-generating circuit. It is compatible with the PLC-2, PLC-3, PLC-5/250 and the PLC-5 series of programmable controllers, and with the SLC 5/02 series of modular controllers. It is cost-effective for mounting in smaller, less expensive enclosures for applications such as packaging, material handling, and operator interface.
