The 1794-OV32 FLEX I/O module from is a communication module for industrial machines. It can be used safely in non-hazardous environments and in environments with a hazard rating as high as Pollution Degree 2 and with an overvoltage rating of up to Overvoltage Category II.

The 1794-OV32 FLEX I/O module is classified as Group 1, Class A equipment. It ships as open equipment and it should always be installed inside an appropriate enclosure for protection.

The enclosure that is used should protect the communication module from water, dust, debris, flames, and electrostatic discharge. The 1794-OV32 FLEX I/O module can be grounded for electrical safety with a zinc-plated yellow chromate steel DIN rail. It can be installed on a terminal base with a keyswitch.

The 1794-OV32 FLEX I/O communication module has a Group 1, Class A emissions rating of CISPR 11. It can tolerate up to 30 G of operating shock and up to 50 G of non-operating shock.
