The 1794-VHSC Module is a high-speed counter module manufactured by / Automation as a Flex I/O 1794 series counter module. This intelligent input and output counter module is intended to provide high-speed counting for different industrial applications and it provides signals to various compatible programmable controllers that support the EtherNet communication protocol. This module comes with 2 input channels, and 2 counters per input channel, and it is configured for 3 different encoder modes with terminations rated at 5 Volts DC or at 15 to 24 Volts DC.
The 1794-VHSC High-Speed Counter Module comes with 19.1 milliamps of rated input current at 5 Volts DC and 25.7 milliamps of rated current at 6 Volts DC with a termination of 5 Volts DC. This high-speed counter module's input current at 15 Volts DC is 6.1 milliamps, and this current is 10.2 milliamps at 24 Volts DC.
The 1794-VHSC High-Speed Counter Module features a counter which depends on the on-state and off-state input ratings, and that operates with an input frequency of up to 1 MHz.
