Bayly OMNISkip is an E3 / E1 multiplexer (skip mux) that provides transmission of up to 16 bi-directional E1 (2 MB) streams on an ITU compliant E3 (34 MB) facility. It is equipped with a complete array of E3 and E1 visual and text alarms. A local control port permits programming using a VT100 compatible terminal. Remote programming and alarm reporting are possible using Baylys RACS system which enables a single operator to locally or remotely control any Bayly telecom element in the network from one central location.

E3-2/34Mbps, PDH Multiplexer is a third through a 34Mbps stream, providing end to order skip multiplexer/demultiplexer unit, end services for sixteen 2 Mbps streams. The based on PDH (Plesiochronous Digital VCL-2/34 Mbps PDH Multiplexer provides 16, Hierarchy) technology. It multiplexes sixteen 2Mbps 2.048Mbps (hereafter referred to as 2Mbps) E1 tributaries into a single 34.368Mbps (hereafter referred to as 34Mbps) E3 tributary.The multiplexer/demultiplexer also does the reverse processing i.e. demultiplexing a received 34Mbps stream into 16, 2Mbps E1 tributaries.
