Power bus – connects the power output to the base plate module.
■ I/O communication bus – The CPU communicates with the I/O module through this bus. The cables are connected to the I/O bus of the expansion and process racks.
■ Special intelligent optional template bus – CM577-ETH only has this bus on the CPU base plate; Therefore, some special intelligent optional templates.

The programmable processor module (PCM), digital display processor (ADC) and CMM (communication control module IC693CMM311) can only work on the CPU base plate. Each base plate in the series 90-30 system is identified by a unique number, called “rack number”. Expansion and remote baseplate machine Rack number is selected by setting DIP switch, which is located on the first slot connector of each base plate. Rack No. 0, always missing

The province is set as CPU rack (CPU base plate has no DIP switch). Rack numbering is not required to be continuous, but for continuity It is recommended that the rack number should not be skipped (1, 2, 3 – should not be 1, 3, 5). Machine in a system Rack No. cannot be repeated. The following table shows the DIP switch positions for rack number selection.

*Rack numbers 5, 6, and 7 are only valid for CPUs 350 and higher.
The number of expansion and remote baseplates that CM577-ETH allows to connect with special CPU templates is generally as follows:
■ 331, 340, and 341 CPUs support a total of 4 expansion and/or remote racks.
■ 350, 351, 352, 360, 363, 364, and 374 CPUs support a total of 7 expansion and/or remote racks.
