Triconex has two SIS systems, TRICON and TRIDENT. TRIDENT is more suitable for small and medium field environments with smaller systems, while TRICON is more suitable for large systems with more devices to control.
They are modern programmable logic and process controller that can provide a high level of system fault tolerance. The following describes the concept of fault tolerance and lists the main features of the Tricon system.
Fault tolerance of SIS system -Triconex. Fault tolerance is the most important ability of the Triconex system, which refers to the ability to detect and find transient and steady error situations and the ability to take appropriate online measures.
With fault tolerance, the security and utilization of the controller and its controlled process are enhanced. Triconex gives its fault tolerance through a triple combined redundancy structure (TMR).
The system consists of three identical system branches (except for the power module, which is doubly redundant). Each system branch executes the control program independently and works in parallel with the other two branches.
