SERIAL MEASURMENT BOARD
Control cabinet S4Cplus is equipped wit an axis computer for the robot (axis
computer 1) and an axis computer card for the manipulator IRBP (axis computer 2). Connection to the drive unit and serial measurement board is made via a connector card. Each axis computer has its own connector card. See Figure 8. Axis computer 1 6 axes for the robot (+ 1 external axis)
Axis computer 2 Up to 6 axes for the manipulator Each axis computer has two drive systems (DS1 and DS2) and two measurement systems (MS1 and MS2)
Each axis computer has two measurement systems. A measurement system
can handle up to 7 axes. Serial measurement boards are connected to the measurement system. These include six nodes for connection of the resolvers.
