Robot Safety Panel Board
The robot controller provides different safety functions to connect the machine with the environment. This is called the panel board or safety board. This board is the “brain” of all safety functions in a robot system and controls the activation of the relays for motor energy
For some cases you might like to connect the EPS outputs direct to the panel board (safety board of IRC5). The picture below shows you the correct way to perform this connection. You have to remember that the EPS has ambivalent outputs. The glitch test of the EPS outputs is filtered out by the panel board
