The IC697CPU771 is a CPU module from the Series 90-70 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform that is formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc, now under Emerson Automation. This CPU mainly features an embedded 80C186 microprocessor with a clock speed of 12 MHz with a Boolean execution time of 0.4 microseconds per boolean function. It comes with support for 2Kbytes of inputs and outputs (any combination) and up to 8 K analog inputs and outputs.
The IC697CPU771 module is an expandable CPU module for GE Fanuc Series 90-70 PLCs. Program and data memory of up to 512 kilobytes of CMOS RAM can be supported by the attachment of an expansion memory board. The CMOS expansion memory board provides RAM capacity options of 64, 128, 256, or 512 KB. The lithium battery (catalog number IC697ACC701) is located on the main CPU board. The installation of the CMOS RAM board on the IC697CPU771 module requires the initialization of the module with a programmer. The installers must refer to the relevant installation manual to ensure proper installation.
