Product Description
The IS420UCSBH3A is one of several controllers designed by General Electric for their Mark IVe Speedtronic system. The Mark VIe was one of the last of the Speedtronic systems released by General Electric for the management of industrial turbine systems. It is one of five UCSB controller modules available.

The IS420UCSBH3A is designed as a single module that makes use of on-board I/O network connectors to interface with external I/O packs. In previous versions of Speedtronic control systems, these kinds of interfaces were achieved through backplane connectors located on one side of the controller.

The IS420UCSBH3A is built upon a quad-core processor that has been pre-loaded with application software. The processor, which uses a QNX Neutrino OS, is designed to offer real-time, high-speed, reliable operations. This is a 1200 MHz Intel EP80579 Microprocessor with 256 MB of SDRAM Memory. This unit weighs 2.9 pounds before the addition of shipping materials.

The IS420UCSBH3A should be mounted to allow for continuous vertical airflow through its fins. These should remain unobstructed. Typically, the controller is mounted to panel sheet metal.

The IS420UCSBH3A offers multiple LEDs on its front panel for diagnostic purposes. This includes Link and Act LEDs for ports that will indicate that a proper Ethernet link has been established or that traffic is low. There is also a Power LED, a Boot LED, an Online LED, a Flash LED, a DC LED and a Diagnostic LED. There is also an On and OT LED. The OT LED will indicate if an over-temperature state is present.
