The MVI69-GSC is a Generic ASCII Serial Interface Module from encompass partner module, Prosoft Technology. This module is a single module, this fits into the 1769 backplane. It has one (1) configuration port and two (2) application ports that supports RS-232, RS-485 or RS-422 (jumper selectable), RJ-45 (DB-9F with supplied cable), RS-232 handshaking configurable with 500 Volts of optical isolation from backplane
The MV194-GSC is a Prosoft Technology manufactured module that is compatible for use with the 1769 CompactLogix controller platform. This module is a Generic ASCII Serial communication module which mounts directly to the 1769 backplane and consumes a single slot of the assembly. This module mainly features one (1) configuration port and two (2) application ports. The application ports are configurable for RS-232, RS-485 or RS-422 (jumper selectable), RJ-45 (DB-9F with supplied cable), RS-232 handshaking configurable. Each port comes with isolation rated 500 Volts optical isolation from backplane. This module conserves the built-in ASCII communication port of the host 1769 controller, allowing it to be used for later requirements.
