Cognex MVS-8100/CPCI frame grabbers and peripheral equipment such as cameras, triggers, strobes, external sync sources, and light modules.
The MVS-8100C/CPCI is installed in a CompactPCI backplane, or, during development, in a PCI-based PC, using a CompactPCI-to-PCI bridge adapter. The MVS-8100C/CPCI is controlled by a host computer, which can be:
• On a CompactPCI board in the CompactPCI system slot
• In a standalone PC connected to the CompactPCI backplane by means of a
CompactPCI-to-PCI bridge adapter. Whether CompactPCI or PCI-based, the computer that hosts the MVS 8100C/CPCI must meet the following requirements:
• The motherboard’s chip set must be fully compliant with the PCI 2.1 specifications or later. Motherboards with Intel chip sets that support Intel Pentium MMX, Celeron, Pentium II, Pentium III, Pentium 4, and Xeon CPUs are known to be compliant. Motherboards with VIA chip sets that support the AMD K6-2 and Athlon CPUs are known to be compliant.
